Zhengzhou Zhenda Refractories Co., Ltd., established in 2002, is located in the Western Development Zone of Xinmi City, conveniently situated near Provincial Road S316, as well as the Zheng-Deng Expressway, Shang-Deng Expressway, and Jiao-Ping Expressway. The company’s facility is also embraced by the Zheng-Shao Expressway, ensuring excellent transportation access. Moreover, Xinmi City boasts exceptionally abundant and high-quality bauxite resources, providing ideal conditions for the production of refractory materials.

After nearly two decades of growth, the company has emerged as a leading manufacturer of refractory materials serving industries such as metallurgy, non-ferrous metals, building materials, power generation, and chemical processing. With fixed assets totaling 87 million yuan and employing over 380 people—among them 1 senior engineer, 5 engineers, and 23 engineering technicians—the company is organized into 5 departments, 10 functional divisions, 6 production workshops, a dedicated R&D center, and a state-of-the-art testing facility. What determines the wear resistance of firebricks?

The wear resistance of refractory bricks is influenced by temperature. For instance, certain refractories—such as high-alumina bricks—are generally believed to exhibit lower wear resistance at higher temperatures (specifically within their elastic range, typically below 700–900°C). This means that as the temperature rises and the refractory’s elastic modulus increases, its wear resistance tends to decline. However, once the temperature reaches a point where the elastic modulus peaks, further decreases in the modulus actually lead to improved wear resistance. For example, clay bricks demonstrate significantly better wear resistance at 1200–1350°C compared to room temperature conditions. Yet, if the temperature continues to rise beyond 1400°C, the rapid drop in viscosity of the liquid phase within the refractory material causes wear resistance to diminish again. On the other hand, some refractory materials—like chromium-containing refractories—actually show enhanced wear resistance as temperatures increase.
